Wasp Moth

an Arctiidae, possibly a Black and White-Spotted Wasp Moth, from Kenya, Africa. December 2014. Photo © by Michael Plagens

Observed on foliage of Round-leaved Vine (Cissus rotundifolia) near Olesossos, Kenya, Africa. Dec. 2015.

The bold pattern of this black and white-spotted moth suggests it is toxic or otherwise chemically defended against insectivorous birds.
