The black bands across the wings may be narrow, broad and occasionally absent alltogether. Variations like this are common in butterflies and these variations may occur by season (dry vs. wet or cool vs. hot) or across the distribution area. The larval host plants belong to the Capparaceae. Also called the smokey orange-tip butterfly.
