This butterfly was observed along the Iten-Kabernet Rd. near the town of Tambach, Kenya, December 2012.

The Little Commodore also known as the Little Pansy is a small to medium sized nyphalid butterfly that is active in sunshine. The larvae are reported to be found on foliage of Acanthaceae. Narrow, almost black border all around a central area of yellow and rusty brown. Medium sized, wingspan almost 3.5 cm.
