Glyphodes ?

Observed at an electric light. Eldoret, Kenya, October 2016. The wing span is about 12 mm.

This dark-colored moth would normally sit on the trunk of a tree and thus hide from birds. Notice the row of bright white spots on the dorsum. A pair of larger spots are followed by five more in single row. The caterpilar stage of pyralids are often known as leaf tier because they use silk to sew one or more leaves into a hiding structure. Others can tunnel into flowers or developing fruit.
