Observed in South Nandi Forest, Kenya, April 2013. Length is about 12mm. The flower is apparently a species of Vernonia.

Flower Chafers live as grubs in the soil, often feeding on roots of various plants. The adult beetles can be found feeding on flowers, fruits and sometime leaves of plants. There are many colorful and intricately marked species.
