Photographed at Nairobi City Park in Kenya. 2 October 2010.

If necessary these monkeys can carry food in their cheek pouches freeing hands and feet for the business of navigating tree branches. The tails are long and there is an extensive patch of white fur on the chest and neck. By some authorities this monkey belongs to the same species group as the Blue Monkey, Cercopithecus mitis, which has a mostly black cap and not much white in throat area. Together these monkeys may be referred to as Guenon.
