This colorful weaver-finch was visiting an urban garden in Nairobi, Kenya, December 2015.

This is the most widespread and common of the mostly yellow weaver species in Kenya and is frequent in gardens and orchards in moist areas. These birds occasionally feed on grain crops and may be killed when the pesticide Fenthion is applied (ref: Keith et al.) to control birds.
