Without the help of guide Julius Ruto (juliusrutto @ yahoo.com) this Jackson's Hornbill would not have been seen at Lake Baringo National Park, Kenya. October 2010.

The black wing coverts are spotted with white and in males the bill is orange and yellow with a white tip. The bill of the female is entirely dark, nearly black. The range of this bird is northwestern Kenya and adjacent areas of Uganda and southern Sudan.
