Observed on grazing lands in the Rift Valley west of Eldoret, Kenya. December 2012.

The rosette of leaves typical of most aloes are set at the ground with no obvious trunk or branches. The thick, fleshy, leaves have whitish spots and the margins are sharply armed. The flowers are supported on a tall stem and are red-orange, and tubular.
