Observed in a seasonally dry woodland, Kerio Valley, Kenya. Dec. 2014.

FRUIT: The fleshy fruit a cluster of two to six carpels each containing one to three seeds each.

TREE: A small tree with smooth, gray bark.

LEAVES: Lance-shaped, simple leaves are dark green and have smooth margins. Alternate on stems.

FLOWERS: The spherical flowers have 3 short sepals and 4 to 6 overlapping petals. The yellow petals are smooth and a little waxy.
