This plant was found growing in partial shade along a moist woodland trail at Kerio View (Elgeyo Escarpment), near Iten, Kenya. Elevation October 2010.

asteraceae in Iten, Kenya, photo © by Michael Plagens World wide the sunflower family is one of the most diverse and abundant of plant families. Kenya is no exception. This rayless yellow-flowered species appears similar to Senecio or a smooth-leaved goldenrod (Solidago). It is herbaceous and the observed plant was a bit taller than 1 m and had several herbaceous stems.
