Observed in a fence row dividing a grazing pasture near Eldoret, Kenya. December 2012.
- Disc Flowers: The disc flowers are lavender and five-lobed.
- Ray Flowers: No ray flowers.
- Phyllaries: Densely long pubescent and infused with lavender-purple pigmentation.
- Pappus: numerous fine bristles atop seeds
- Leaves: The leaves are elyptic and shallowly toothed on the margins.
