Observed growing on grazed ground near Limuru Ponds, Nairobi, Kenya. January 2014.

Rays: Large, conspicuous rays are round-toothed at tip.

Leaves: Sandy-textured leaves are short-petioled, with lobes that partially clasp stem. Stiff pubescence.

Habit: Low growing, mostly herbaceous with stems prostrate.

Disc Florets: Darker yellow-orange.

Phyllaries: One series, but subtended below by leafy bracts.
