Observed at Kitale Nature Conservancey, Kenya, Africa. January 2014.

Impatiens are commonly know as Touch-Me-Knot on account of the amazing fruit and the manner in which the seeds are dispersed. As the fruit enlarges it becomes translucent, the walls thin, and under pressure. With the slightest disturbance the container explodes, dispersing the seeds a considerable distance.
