a mint, possibly Fuerstia africana, from Rift Valley highlands, photo © Michael Plagens This mint species was found in a pasture area near Eldoret, Kenya. The floral arrangement is two or three flowers per node on the inflorescence. The calyx below the flower has one wide tooth, and four smaller teeth. Like many other mint species Fuerstia has been identified as a possible medicinal plant and has received attention for that.
