TREE: Medium to large tree with rough scaly bark and spreading crown.

LEAVES: The alternate, elliptical leaves are glabrous and have serrated margins.

FLOWERS: Cream-colored flowers with numerous stamens and five short petals.

FRUIT: Single seeded drupe.

RANGE: Moist areas in highlands of Kenya.
