Trunk and bark of Schrebera alata, Nairobi, Kenya, photo © by Michael Plagens The dark green, compound leaves are opposite - the arrows show where two leaves are attached at the same stem node. The leaf rachis is winged. The fruit is a woody, pair-shaped capsule that splits in two, lengthwise.
