This tree naturally ranges from southern Asia to Australia. It has been widely planted in other tropical areas including Kenya. It grows quickly and produces valuable timber. The compound leaves are very long with up to two dozen leaflets. Flowers are small and numerous in open clusters. The bark is often reddish.
