LEAVES: The elliptical leaves are white-pubescent when new but darken with age. Opposite on the stems and with smooth margins.

TREE: A small tree or shrub with several crooked trunks.

FLOWERS:

RANGE: Large number of variable species in Africa.

FRUIT: Mature into red berries.

UNARMED.
