Observed along a road cut through Kakamega Forest, Kenya. Oct. 2016.

Leaves: The leaves and stems lack stinging areas, thus False Nettle. Three principal veins. The margins are sharply serrate (toothed).

Flowers: Male and female flowers occur in separate clusters on long, slender, pendulous spikes.

Habit: Shrub or small tree of shady forest areas.
